Late & Cancellation Policies

We understand that sometimes emergencies or circumstances that are unavoidable may occur. However, when providing advance notice, it allows us to fulfill scheduling needs and keeps our office operating at its most efficient level. This is very important for our health and safety protocols. Due to our one-on-one treatment, missed appointments are an inconvenience for the doctor, the office, and other patients.

This policy is in place out of respect for all of us, including you. Cancellations with less than a 72-buisness hour notice are difficult to fill. By giving last minute or no notice at all, you prevent someone else from being able to schedule that time slot.

Late Policy:

At Dr. Koo’s office we take pride in providing quality of care for all of our patients. When patients arrive late for their scheduled time it is impossible to provide that quality of care. We do not double book patients, when appointments are scheduled, they are reserved exclusively for you. Therefore, if you arrive more than 5 minutes late, your appointment will be cancelled and you will need to reschedule.

Cancellation Policy:

All cancellations will be reviewed on an individual basis. As a courtesy we will waive your first cancellation with insufficient time. Therefore, any appointments cancelled after, with less than a 72-business hour notice due to a non-emergency, will be charged a $50 cancellation fee. This fee will be automatically applied to your account, as this results in less availability for others in need. You will receive an appointment reminder through text and/or email, the day you schedule, two weeks in advance, three days before, and 24 hours prior. You must confirm the 3-day appointment reminder. If you need to cancel your appointment, make sure you contact our front desk. As a reminder we do not take cancellations through text or email. For patients who no show to their appointments the a $75 dollar fee will automatically be applied. Patients with repetitive reoccurrences will be charged $75.

A "No Show" is a patient who fails to appear for a scheduled appointment without providing a 72-buisness hour cancellation notice. Further, a rescheduled appointment that is less than 72 business hour cancellation notice is still considered a cancellation and is treated as such. There is $75 charge for all no show visits. This charge can not be billed to insurance and must be paid on or before the next scheduled appointment.
